the feelings attached to the person This is a unique story of three ladies, so different in age, and life experiences They have one thing in common each has lost a relationship at one time They live in an old renovated home that is haunted There are things missing, noises in the attic, and food taken from the refrigerator. How does one get them out Will anyone believe them This was a definite mystery with a comical twist that I enjoyed and read quickly to see how it ended.I loved the closing and it was not at all what I expected Terrific Quirky, original, hilarious, and poignant, SORRY I MISSED YOU is an unforgettable read with a knockout premise With ghosts from their pasts, and perhaps real ones in their present, four strangers connect through one rental unit, and their combined searches for someone who has disappeared from each of their lives Inspiring and heart warming, this novel is an absolute must read For my full review, visit me at was an unexpected gift of a read I wasn t too sure what to anticipate with this story but I was left blown away and appreciative of having read this novel. For my full review, visit me at 4.5 stars Quirky but fun This isn t my usual fare, but since it was one of Prime s monthly options looked like it could be entertaining, I decided to give it a try I m happy to say that I ve no regrets. The widely disparate protagonists don t have much in common, but they do all share pasts that continue to haunt them. The mystery of the house s haunting brings them together in their effort to solve it.Trying to figure out the mystery kept me turning pages, but the answer is pretty unexpected And amusing The solution to the haunted house effectively becomes the solution to the protagonists haunted pasts as well This was a sweet story, and ideal if you re looking for a lighthearted change of pace Clean romance level sweet kisses, nothing graphic no language issues There are so many things going on in this book and it s about so many things it s difficult to summarise we start with the stories of 3 ladies Maude, Sunna and Mackenzie Each have lost a relationship of significance and end up each renting a suite in a big house The house belongs to Larry He has just inherited from his aunt but in her will left so many stipulations about what he can and cannot do, ge decides the easiest thing to do is to rent it out and he doesn t want to live there anyway he s scared of ghosts and with a suicide have taken place at the house years earlier, he s taking no chances The ladies are each at different stages of their lives and so different from each other Maude and Sunna have a particular clash of personalities that make for some good fun All of them are thrown together when a letter arrives, badly damaged by a leaky post box, which is from someone who wants to reconnect but they don t know who It could relate to any if them So, determined to find out, they spend time together at the allocated meeting spot missing the information about the date so they go everyday and over time a real friendship is forged despite the frequent squabbles that continue and the treat of ghosts This book is long but doesn t feel it there is a lot going on all the time and all the different threads have a conclusion There is some great humour in here, despite the overall subject matter being quite serious some of it very serious a missing person investigation, a murder, suicide, death Weirdly, it s not a heavy read at all There is a sense of being given the moral of the tale at the end which felt a bit contrived but is very true I couldn t argue with it and its helpful for anyone who has been let down in a relationship and never been given an explanation as to why someone they loved would behave in such a way Despite multiple threads, lots going on and a pretty fast pace, this is an easy read with enough humour to balance out the serious subject matter It s about friendship, relationships and having the confidence yo be yourself whoever you happen to be. I received this book from Suzy herself after I raved about Valencia and Valentine to share my honest review She is honestly such a wonderful, responsive author too But I have to say that I absolutely loved this book It was funny and poignant and quirky I loved Maude, Sunna, Mackenzie and even Larry There was so much to this story than just being ghosted and haunted houses It s about relationships, friendship, closure and the different phases and points in our life that shape us to be who we are It s about opening yourself up to different people, different experiences, and allowing yourself to move on from the ghosts of your own past You will love this one The chapters alternated between the different characters to give a whole, concise picture Amazing read Suzy fails to disappoint with her second novel as well What a fantastic book I read it in 1 day You will fall in love with every part of this funny, thoughtful, out of the box wonder Krause has succeeded, with flying colours, at weaving together a motley crew of unrelated characters into a team you root for and just plain love She manages to make this mystery quick and quirky, yet is also debilitatingly observant of the inner workings of our emotions and the role of social media, music, and belonging SO highly recommend Hey You ve stumbled across my second novel, and I m excited for you to read it If you like light, not too creepy ghost stories or if you sometimes daydream about getting closure in that weird high school relationship that ended abruptly without you ever finding out why, maybe you ll like this book I m certainly not going to be the one to tell you not to read it.Here s a little post I wrote about the inspiration for Sorry I Missed You and its original title , if you re curious. Thanks for reading You re the best, I m sure. Well written, mysterious, touching, at times humorous, a very enjoyable read To me, th s was a lesson on communication I loved the quirky characters 4 stars
